Sara Evans Tickets - Evans Stays Busy Through Summer by Brent Warnken

Sara Evans has had a busy summer so far, and she will continue with the whirlwind schedule up until her new album is released sometime this fall. One of the highlights of her summer happened on July 15 when she performed "God Bless America" at the Major League Baseball All-Star game. That was the same game that had President Barack Obama throwing out the opening pitch. She also satisfied her high-tech fans by releasing her own iPhone App. The App costs 99 cents and gives fans instant news, tour dates, photos, games and more. A long-term project for Evans is her spot as the national spokesperson for the 2009/2010 St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway. The campaign raises money for St. Jude Children's Hospital. She has been doing interviews on the radio to support the cause.

Along with those events, Evans also announced her participation several other exciting upcoming events. For an upcoming show in Georgia, she will join a slew of soap opera stars for a meet and greet with fans. Evans was also added to the lineup for the Big Spring Jam, which will be held in Huntsville, Alabama from September 25 to 27. The festival features a variety of musical performances, and she is joined by other country stars like Trace Adkins, John Anderson and Heidi Newfield. Performers from many other genres are there as well like Akon, The Fray, Saving Abel, Village People and The Black Crowes. Evans is known to put on quite a show, and fans can catch one of her performances by getting Sara Evans tickets online.

Evans was born and raised in Missouri, where she was already singing before she was in school. She came from a musical family, and they often performed together. At 16, she had already landed a reoccurring gig as a singer at a club. In 1991, she decided to move to Nashville, where she met Craig Schelske. Schelske would later become her husband, and at that time she started singing with his band. She traveled West with the group, but a return to Nashville would prove fortuitous. While there, her voice caught the attention of songwriter Harlan Howard, and he had her record his song "I've Got a Tiger by the Tail" for a demo. That demo led to a deal with RCA, and she released her debut album, Three Chords and the Truth, in 1997. That album won the praise of critics for its classic sound but failed to make much of an impact with fans.

Her breakthrough came the next year with the release of her sophomore album, No Place That Far. The album incorporated a more contemporary sound, giving fans exactly what they were looking for. She continued that trend with her 2000 album, Born to Fly. She started to flex her songwriting skills on the release, co-writing many of the tracks. Restless and Real Fine Place followed in 2003 and 2005, respectively. The latter became her first number one country album. Evans hit a personal snag after the release, filing for divorce from Schelske. She found happiness again with former college quarterback Jay Barker, and the two married in 2008. She has already released the single "Feels Just Like a Love Song" from her upcoming album.
